I am the Music Teacher/ Choir Director for St. Matthew the Apostle School. My other roles at SMA include pianist/singer for the music ministry, alum, past parent, and active parishioner. I graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor's of Music Therapy. As a Board Certified Music Therapist I worked in the Psychiatric Hospital setting specializing in children. I worked as a Music Therapist for 5 years.  I was then a stay at home mom for 5 years, then began teaching music following my children - at John Calvin Playschool and then St. Matthew. I also taught at Ursuline Academy for one year. This is my 17th year of teaching and 12th year teaching at SMA.

I have been married to Tommy for 30 years. We have a son named Will who teaches math at Chapelle High School and who will be marrying Joelle this year. We have a daughter Olivia who is a student at LSU studying child and family counseling. My parents were one of the original families in the parish. All of my siblings and I attended St. Matthew the Apostle School. This community is home to me.
