Sharon Perret

About: I am a second grade teacher. I have been at SMA since 2010. I begininng my 35th year of teaching and have taught second, third, fourth, fifth, seventh, and eighth grades in public, private, and Catholic schools.

I am married and have two grown daughters. I enjoy traveling, movies, technology, and my pets. Teaching is something I have wanted to do since I was a child.

While I do not live in St. Matthew the Apostle’s parish, I consider myself a parishioner. I love the families who choose to have their children attend SMA. They are very respectful and live their Catholic values. The parents are the best! They are exceptionally supportive which allows the faculty to do their jobs well. The administration allows teachers to grow and explore new avenues for learning.

SMA is going places and I want to be part of it!

Education: I attended Louisiana State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from University of New Orleans. I am lifetime certified to teach first through eighth grades.
